We Need All Hands on Deck to Protect Our Oceans
- Climate change is having damaging effects on the oceans. The excessive burning of fossil fuels puts humans and the oceans at risk of climate change impacts, such as sea level rise, increased storm intensity, and adverse effects on ocean animals.
- 90 percent of the world’s fisheries are fully exploited or overfished.
- Plastics, land-based sewage, and chemical and pharmaceutical pollution hurt marine wildlife.

Together We Can Protect What We Love!
Now is the time to join W2O! W2O can connect you to the oceans you love and to like-minded ocean sisters. Together we can grow our impact through our local and global networks.
Join the movement!
W2O members have fun together! We host small gatherings for hands-on learning, including creating a non-plastic kitchen, cooking with seagreens, and painting ocean scenes. We work to influence ocean policies by meeting with legislators, scientists, and other ocean advocates. And once a year we create a powerful event at the New England Aquarium’s IMAX® Theatre.
Mobilize your network—grow W2O and our influence!
Whether you know leaders in corporate America, nonprofit organizations, Washington, D.C., or in your neighborhood, tap into personal connections to push for ocean-friendly policies in your community and beyond.
